Dr. Annett Linemann
Director Technology Outlook and Sustainability, H.B. Fuller Deutschland GmbH
As PhD chemist Annett has been working since more than 20 years in different R&D roles in the industrial environment of Adhesives. This always has been a very interesting and exciting field as the adhesives industry is so versatile with regards to the wide range of technologies, application techniques and markets involved. In the recent years the role of adhesives as efficient and future-proof bonding technology has been strengthened enormously. In her actual role Annett is actively seeking and pursuing new technology trends, identifying what could be the next innovative break-through technologies in the coming 10-15 years for the Global Business Unit Engineering Adhesives of H.B. Fuller. The focus of her work is strongly related to sustainable product development.
Bert Suffis
Innovation Director, JSP
Bert Suffis has a Master's degree in Polymer Engineering and has worked in resin developments before joining JSP. In his role as Development Manager, Bert optimised the performance of ARPRO and created specific dynamic impact simulation material models to develop ARPRO seating and pedestrian safety systems. He then focussed to take the ARPRO product range beyond the automotive industry, amongst others the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning applications. Crash testing, material model developments, as well as hands-on processing support, form a solid base for his current role as Innovation Manager where he concentrates on hybrid solutions for the future.
Christian Trassl
Head of Process & Product Development Performance Foams, Evonik Operations GmbH
Christian is a material scientist by education with more than 20 years of professional experience in the development and processing of thermoplastic foams. Since 2015 he is responsible for the product and process development of high performance foams at EVONIK. In his additional function as Technology Leader he is also responsible for the R&D foams project portfolio of the business line High Performance Polymers.
Philip Guy
General Manager, Tape Solutions, Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics
Phil has an Electrical Engineering Degree from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken NJ USA and a MBA from Western New England College in Springfield MA. He started his career with General Electric on their Manufacturing Management Program. Phil has now been working in the Foam and Adhesive Tape business for almost 30 years. He started out in Operations as a supply chain manager and then moving up to Production/Plant Manager at the Saint-Gobain facility in Hoosick Falls New York USA where they make Specialty Adhesive Tapes. He then moved into different commercial roles including Product Manager, Business Development Manager and Marketing Director for the Foams and Adhesive Tape business for Saint-Gobain. From there, Phil moved in Business leadership positions up to the latest role as General Manager of Tape Solutions Globally. Tape Solutions has 14 locations globally and produces a very wide range of specialty adhesive tapes and foam products serving many different markets.
Polivio Goncalves
Head of Engineering Adhesives, Bostik
Polivio has more than 15 years experience in chemical and adhesive industry, especially in FMCG, Engineering and Automotive sectors, based on solid experience in Sourcing, Business Management and Change Management. As head of Bostik's Engineering Adhesives, he puts his energy in creating a momentum in the highly demanding industry of engineering adhesives and support his customers in their design and challenges in assembly in HighTech environments.
Dr. Christos Lecou
After completing his banking apprenticeship, Dr. Christos Lecou studied business chemistry in Düsseldorf. In collaboration with Evonik Industries, he graduated with a PhD in chemistry at the University of Münster. In 2012, he started his professional career with Bayer MaterialScience / Covestro and held various positions in innovation, business development and marketing with high dedication to the area of adhesives with high focus on PU adhesive raw materials since the last 5 years.
Dr. Giorgio Zaffaroni
Technical Director, Permabond
He has a background in Chemistry and he is working in Adhesive Technology from more than 20 years with responsibilities in R&D, Technical Assistance, Innovation Management.
His previous significant work experiences were in Fiber Reinforced Polymeric Composites. Here we had assignments in R&D, Technical and Innovation Development.
He is author of co-author of Technical Papers and Patents.
He has been employed in various Companies in many business areas ranging from Aerospace to Buildings, from Electronics to Maintenance.
Michel Baumgartner
Secretary General, EUROPUR
Michel Baumgartner is the Secretary General of EUROPUR, the European association of flexible polyurethane foam blocks manufacturers, and of EURO-MOULDERS, the European association of manufacturers of moulded polyurethane parts for the automotive industry. He serves both associations since November 2013. Michel holds a degree in political science from Sciences-Po Strasbourg, where he specialized in international relations and European law.
